Bannister Ford is located in Dawson Creek, BC at 1609 Alaska Avenue in Peace Country. The drive from Grande Prairie takes approximately 85 minutes, and only 55 minutes from Fort St John.
Air Canada and WestJet have regularly scheduled service to Grande Prairie, and if it's easier for you to fly to us than drive, we'll have a pre-arranged driver ready to meet you at the airport.
And when you come from out of town to buy from us, we're going to put you up for the night at one of our local Dawson Creek hotels, on us.
To replenish our used vehicle inventory, we source quality pre-owned vehicles from live auction, online auction, and on trade-in from our customers. This process allows us to fully assess the vehicle we are buying and gather from you, the current owner, valuable vehicle history information.
We welcome your trade, and encourage you to take advantage of the tax savings. We'll perform a full market analysis, and provide you with a very competitive trade-in value.
- When you choose to trade in your vehicle to us, we will arrange to have to vehicle shipped if you're flying to us instead of driving.
All you need to worry about is the tax of the province in which you live. If your permanent location is outside B.C., we will not charge PST if:
- you sign the FIN 440 form (we will provide you with this form)
- you can provide the necessary identification to prove that you live outside BC. We require two pieces of ID such as your driver’s license or your out of province medical plan card. (We do not accept birth certificates or vehicle registration)
- However, if you reside in a province that has PST, we will only have to charge you 5% GST if you provide the necessary identification (see above)
- If you reside in Ontario where HST is applied, we can either: 1) Charge you 5% GST (and you will be responsible to deal with the additional tax amount when you register your vehicle in your province) or 2) Charge you the applicable HST in your province of residence.
If you would like to ship your vehicle, then we have that covered for you too. We have relationships with many trusted trucking companies which will take great care of your vehicle while shipping.
We will supply you with a pre-delivery checklist before it is shipped, and again we will forward you photos of the vehicle before it leaves our premises.
Shipping will be estimated at time of delivery.
Bannister Ford’s partnership with major financial institutions including Ford Financial Services, BMO, TD, General Bank, Scotia, RBC, and some Credit Unions enable us to provide competitive financial rates to our customers. We are dedicated to helping you find the finance options that best fit your needs and budget.
How can I be assured that the vehicle I am purchasing is in good condition without seeing it?
Bannister Ford is locally owned and operated by Wayne McIntyre & the Bannister Automotive Group, one of ten dealerships across BC and Alberta. We will provide you with all of the information that you will need to make an informed purchase decision including CarProof or ICBC accident report, mechanical report, and a full personalized video of the vehicle you are looking to purchase.
Should my vehicle be inspected when I receive it?
Your vehicle will need to go through an out-of-province inspection if it is a pre-owned vehicle, this is simply to ensure that your vehicle meets the safety standards of your province. And there is no need to worry because at our dealership your vehicle has already gone through a rigorous inspection. So if you are wondering if your vehicle will meet the requirements in your province, the answer is simply YES.
What if something happens to the vehicle during the shipping process?
There is no need to worry in the event that your vehicle is damaged during shipping. And this is why: the firms responsible for shipping our vehicles are completely insured. So if anything happens to your vehicle, it will be repaired. Therefore, your vehicle is also covered!
What does getting a used vehicle from another brand imply?
All the used vehicles at our dealership go through the same rigorous inspection. So getting a used vehicle that is not Ford implies that you get an equally reliable and durable vehicle as all of our pre-owned Ford vehicles.
Can you tell me more about finance rates?
While there are a number of factors that affect your interest rate, our finance experts work hard to get competitive finance rates that suit your budget and the vehicle you are purchasing. Furthermore, this would not be possible without the help and collaboration of our finance partners If you want to know more specific details about the finance rates, contact our finance department.
What about Guarantee and Warranty?
Vehicle guarantee and warranty depend greatly on the type of vehicle you are purchasing: new or used. For our Ford selection of vehicles, our finance experts work hard to ensure you are getting the correct protection for your vehicle.
Do you offer protection packages?
At Bannister Ford, we provide many services to ensure your vehicle looks and runs well. Our service experts can perform a number of services including: paint protection, rust proofing and leather protection. There is no need to worry, our skilled technicians have got you covered!
